BrassTuna 2025 Team Update
BrassTuna 2025 Project Description:
“This will be Adam Corona's first time setting out on a large-scale Documentary photographic project. Documenting the grounds they grew up on in South Phoenix, which are surrounded by Mexican culture, heritage, and family. Described by Corona, "I hope to return to the grounds that raised me . With this show , I hope to find the strength to return to self . Through this , I'll be given the power to forge a new life." The project will begin production in early 2025, with a full-scale photographic exhibition set for late 2025.”
(BrassTuna’s upcoming exhibition is underwritten by the Phoenix Artists To Work Grant.)
June 2025 Team Update :
“Since the formation of the first official ‘BrassTuna Team’ in January 2025, our team has been deeply immersed in extensive research and honing our technical skills in exhibition design and creation.”

“A significant aspect of this project involves honoring the community that shaped me. Our goal is to find the most respectful approach to uplift voices seldom represented in contemporary art. To ensure we do this authentically, my team's mission has been to conduct thorough research and experience these specific environments firsthand. South Phoenix is a vibrant mosaic of diverse cultures and communities, and accurately portraying the communities I grew up with is my paramount objective.”
